Every year, I call my grandmother the day or two b

Every year, I call my grandmother the day or two before Thanksgiving to get her recipe for cornbread dressing. I nearly know it by heart now, but it's tradition. I love that time spent sharing laughter, love, and family traditions from afar. This year, we're doing a smaller Thanksgiving spread with my brother and his girlfriend. He's making fried chicken, we're bringing the champagne (my two favorite things). Guess I'm calling Nana for biscuits ;). Cheers to you and yours, however you're spending this memorable holiday.

It's no secret how much I love curating vintage stamps for your invitation (or even personal) needs. Creating this box as a test run for some future invitations was a lesson in patience and I loved the end result. Lots of texture between the linen paper box lid, velvet interior top,and an acrylic invitation for a modern twist. When your guests receive your finely detailed invitation, not only is it a treat in the moment, but a glimpse of what you're preparing to celebrate with them.⁣

2020, you’re halfway gone. I haven’t done a #fridayintroduction all year I believe. Hello, I’m Nicole and I paint and write pretty things. Sometimes, especially this year, it feels like that’s something that doesn’t matter a whole lot. But I think it brings joy to others which is what I’ve always thought was my calling in this life. I’m learning about the not so pretty things that have been right under my nose and I want to find a way for those to be acknowledged and made right. Fortunately, this crazy year has brought around this wonderful community of people with that same desire. I look forward to digging in to the rest of this year with them - learning about different perspectives, building bridges, and nurturing myself and others along the way. And painting the pretty (and maybe not so pretty) things.

Officially entered Phase 2 in NYC. Outdoor coffee dates are definitely on the upcoming agenda. More collaborations (and hopefully events) too. It was a joy working with Tangni and Vanessa a few weeks ago and we're all looking forward to Tangni's storefront opening soon. If you're in NYC, you won't want to miss that. There are grand visions of workshops and community space in the works there, just what we're all craving!
